Get Involved and Be a Community Ambassador!
The Community Ambassadors Program is an initiative by the Youth Leadership Foundation of America designed to empower young leaders to serve and support individuals in need within their communities. This program connects youth volunteers with new students, new immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and seniors, providing essential assistance in areas such as tutoring, transportation, mobility support, and social integration.
Through this program, Community Ambassadors will:
Provide Tutoring & Mentorship – Assist new students and immigrants in overcoming language barriers, adapting to the educational system, and excelling academically.
Offer Transportation Support – Help seniors and individuals with disabilities get to medical appointments, grocery stores, or community centers.
Enhance Mobility & Accessibility – Assist those with mobility challenges by accompanying them on walks, navigating public spaces, or using assistive devices.
Foster Social Inclusion – Engage in meaningful conversations, organize community activities, and provide companionship to reduce isolation among seniors and new arrivals.
The program cultivates leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility among youth participants while making a tangible difference in their communities. Volunteers will receive training and recognition for their service, helping to build a stronger, more inclusive society.
